"All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." -Pablo Picasso After 17 years of teaching art to pre K - 12th grade, this quote is not new to me. It has always been a favorite, but it was not until I thought about what to write here that I realized how much it really applies to me personally. "All children are artists." As an only child, growing up in a neighborhood with few children, ART became one of my best friends. All those times that I When I was bored, lonely, sad, or upset, I drew(maybe not well). I traced, set up still lives with all my stuffed animals & dolls, I read and used drawing and art books and eventually owned my first camera- a polaroid. (I still have it) As I grew older, I took every kind of art class that I could, learning techniques, trying new media, and getting to know the meaning of art and the masters who created it. " The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up. " When I became an art teacher my passion for art was transferred to my students, yet with my adult life I did not continue in my own creations.(see above quote) Three years ago I began teaching digital photography. Although photography was my minor, I learned in a darkroom, as my students would say "in the old days". With digital photo, I had to teach myself as well as 100 students. With this new teaching endeavor, my passion for art & photo was reignited and, slowly but surely I am back creating! (Yay!) In addition to 24 clicks, I am a part of Soul Journaling, altered art/visual journaling and of course trying to start my own photo/art blog!

Even though this may be a bouquet of weeds, when it is given by a child, "LESS IS MORE"!

I should have used the flash on this "ONE". The electricity was out from the storm & I did not want a flash back from the reflective items. Look at the top & see the #"ONE", also there are several single, "ONE" of- a- kind items.
